With the Iraqi war, the US$ is once again the oil currency (mission accompl. for the Bushes!) but Iran kept on with the euro. So Iran became US enemy #1. Interests in oil predominate. I wish the press would have developed that angle more. The rest is incidental to the Bushes. To have a permanent base on Isreal’s Iraqi flank is optimal for Isreal. If the American public would do more research about their political history, the CIA, etc. Then people would be far more critical of American policies and double standards. But in his later years he gave up his medals because he did not want to be involved in American Colonialism.
