I am planning to study library science or mass communication in the graduate school. How are their perspectives in the country?
Job prospects for librarians are excellent. There are a lot of non-technical librarians or those that have not embraced technology that are ripe for retirement. With all the information out there today, the role of the librarian is changing from an information provider to an information detective, helping the patron sift through the mounds of information, some good, some bad. It’s a good profession – well respected and fulfilling.
