so if i graduate at university and do a degree in jounalism and i want to be a tv news reporter what do i do?
like what should i do asson as ive finished doing my degree…..?
how do i become an actual tv news reporter…??
anyone no…?
and some advice plzzzz
thankyou so much
Well, I would certainly make sure my Journalism degree included a minor in Media. In fact, a degree in Media and Journalism would be best, with many hours of Speech, and more English than is "required". I would get on my resume’ as much public speaking and activities in the community as I could. While you are in school, or summers, try working with local TV news as an intern. You may not make any money, but it will pay off big time. Get a portfolio going on writing you have done and submitted, even if it is to "letters to the editor". Get involved with your student Journalism association/fraternity and do as much PR work as you can for any other organizations. Every bit of exposure helps. Finally, a great personality is vital. Don’t try to cultivate a phony one, or mimic somebody else. It won’t get you far. And be preprared for being the best qualified, and still not getting the job. (awww…). When you speak of TV journalism, you are really talking entertainment. And "stars" are not born,..they are made.

Is it possible to major in film and minor in jounalism at UCF?
I was reading of some colleges that dont allow students to do that because the 2 studies collide with each other making the student unable to study both, I was wondering if UCF allowed this
They have a magazine journalism minor that you apparently can pair with a film major. Here’s a few helpful links.

A mate of mine has chosen a sports journalism course at trinity and all saints college (accredited college of leeds university), so you could give that a try. I think his second choice was southhampton.

I want to major in Journalism is UNC Chapel Hill a good school for jounalism?
I really want to major in journalism in college, I am from Long Island so would it be better to go to school in New York or try something new? Is it very hard to get into UNC and how much does it cost for out of state students?..thanks
<3
UNC is an amazing journalism school! NYU is also a great school for journalism, also. I would say NYU has a stronger program. You would get a lot more internships in NYC. But UNC has a beautiful campus. You can always go to Chapel, and go to Columbia for a graduate program. This way you will be back in NY. It costs $18,103, so try getting a scholarship. While NYU is close to $50,000k a year. Good Luck!
